Advanced Project Management

When running a project, having a project manager is key. But… what if you are running multiple projects, with different areas of expertise, and those projects depend on each other to be successful? Perhaps you have one large project and realize you need someone with not only PM expertise, but engineering proficiency, management skills, and experience working with multiple departments that all need to be involved. Below are some examples where bringing me in can make your life a lot easier:

Situation 1:
You have a large initiative in place. You currently have 4 internal projects happening at the same time. They all depend on each other and it’s imperative that the different groups work together well. You need someone that can understand the technical and business requirements of each project, how they interact, and make sure all the stakeholders are kept up to date. Oh, and any problems that arise along the way—need to be solved quickly.
Solution:
You bring in Justin to ensure efficient connections, communication, and solutions. Individual project teams can be unaware of when a dependency occurs and when communication needs to happen.

Situation 3:
You have a large initiative in place. You have no choice but to engage with multiple partners to get it done. You are worried that the partners won’t communicate with each other and therefore your internal team won’t receive the appropriate communication either.
Solution:
You bring in Justin to ensure he’s engrained in the partner projects and rolls up all the information your internal teams need in order to ensure the overall initiative is a success.

Situation 2:
You have reached out to a partner to help you with a project that’s too big for you to handle internally. The partner project ties into what multiple departments are doing. You don’t trust that the partner PM can effectively handle all the communication that needs to happen internally. You would feel much better if you had an internal resource familiar with partner projects that could liaise with the partner project team and the needed internal teams.
Solution:
You bring in Justin to ensure that the partner project team and your internal teams are in sync, that no miscommunication occurs, and that the project is completed successfully.
